Permits & Reservations

 

Reservations and island group permits are required for Georges, Lovells, Peddocks, Bumpkin, Grape, or Spectacle Islands for groups of 25 or more.

Groups requesting a permit for a group picnic area (unreserved) or camping site during normal park hours, and who do not require special support services may request a Recreational Use Permit form by call Doris Berlo with DCR at 781-740-1605 ext 200.

Any group requesting a private event site, after hours use of non-camping facilities, or any activity requiring oversight and coordination by island-based staff should contact Dina Zawaski with Boston Harbor Island Alliance for information on site availability, policies and Special Use Permits at 617-223-8040 or by email.

Camping reservations and permits are required. Call 617-223-8666 for help in selecting an island. To reserve a campsite on Lovells, Bumpkin, or Grape Islands, call toll free 877-422-6762 or log on to www.reserveamerica.com Fees are charged for camping on all islands. See "Costs" on Camping page.

Commercial uses such as filming require permits, call Catherine Lawson with Boston Harbor Island Alliance at 617-223-8672.
